Career

Lachèze, who was the son of a baker, played for Stade Laval in his hometown before he was signed by the first division side Stade Rennes in 1949 and thus switched to paid football . For Rennes, the striker made his debut on September 4, 1949 in a 1: 2 defeat against FC Sochaux in the top French division; henceforth he came to occasional missions. Due to the initial competition from Geoff Taylor , however, he had to forego a regular place and was then unable to prevail against Juan Callichio .

In 1952 he returned to Rennes after 35 first division games with six goals, as he preferred a move to the amateur club Stade Nazaire . From there he went to SM Caen in 1955 , to which he remained loyal until he ended his career in 1961; after the end of his career he continued to live in Caen and died in the city in 1986.
