Alan Clarke (born February 3, 1962 in Dublin ) is a former Irish football player .

Career

Clarke moved from Leeds United to Germany in 1982 . There he played for Borussia Lippstadt , Hammer SpVg , Blau-Weiß 90 Berlin , Tennis Borussia Berlin and SV Yesilyurt. He achieved his greatest sporting success when he and his teammates made promotion to the Bundesliga in the 1985/86 season . In his first season in the Bundesliga he was used 15 times, at the end of the season he was immediately relegated and Clarke continued to play in the 2nd Bundesliga.
