Alan Heusaff

Alan Heusaff (born July 23, 1921 in Saint-Yvi , † 1999 in Dublin ) was a Breton nationalist activist and linguist and a member of the Parti National Breton (PNB).

Life

During the Second World War Heusaff was a leading official of the Bezen Perrot , a Breton unit of nationalists that was used by the German Security Service (SD) as an auxiliary force. In December 1943 he joined the Waffen SS as an officer . After the defeat of the Third Reich , he fled to Ireland to avoid a death sentence in France and lived there until his death. In Ireland he gave up his militant activity in favor of the creation of a Federation of Celtic Nations ( Celtic League ) within the European Union .
