Alan Palmer

Alan Warwick Palmer (born September 28, 1926 in Ilford ) is a British author of historical and biographical books.

Life

Palmer attended Bancroft School in Woodford Green before going to Oriel College , Oxford , England . From 1953 to 1969 he was Head of the History Department at Highgate School in London . On September 1, 1951, he married Veronica Mary (nee Cordell). For more than forty years he and his wife have devoted themselves to historical research and writing.
