Alasdair MacMhaoirn
Alasdair MacMhaoirn (m) (born August 26, 1958 in Ontario , Canada ) is a nationally active Scottish master of martial arts and holder of the 3rd Dan of Shorinji ryu Karate Do. He is the technical director of Butokukai Scotland and a student of Grand Master Jean Chalamon , Hanshi, 10th Dan. Shorinji ryu (karate, kobudo , tai chi ).

- 1977: Member of Butokukai International in Canada.
- 1982: Starts teaching Tai Chi , Yang style .
- 1986: 1st Dan Shorinji ryu Karate Do, Butokukai International.
- 1987: MacMhaoirn starts teaching Ninjutsu , Kenjutsu , Traditional Chinese Medicine and Chi Kung with Sherman Lai in Guelph , Canada .
- 1992: 1st master degree in Ninjutsu | He moves to Scotland.
- 1994: Member of the Scottish Shotokan Academy until 2004.
- 2004: Founds the Club Karate at Ostaig Sabhal Mòr Ostaig in Isle of Skye .
- 2006: 2nd Dan, Scottish Kempo Academy | Member of the Northern Budo Alliance.
- 2011: 3rd Dan Shorinji ryu Karate Do, Kokusai Butokukai | Butokukai Scotland is founded.
