Alastair Martin
Alastair Bradley Martin (born March 11, 1915 in New York City , † January 12, 2010 ) was an American tennis player and President of the USTA.
biography
Alastair Martin won the tennis singles nine times (1933, 1941, 1950-1956) and is a ten-time winner of doubles in the American amateur championships. Martin was President of the United States Tennis Association (USTA) in 1969/70, shortly after the start of the Open Era, which began in 1968. In 1974 he was inducted into the International Tennis Hall of Fame .
