Albertína Friðbjörg Elíasdóttir

Albertína Friðbjörg Elíasdóttir (born February 17, 1980 in Ísafjörður ) is an Icelandic politician of the Social Democratic Alliance .

Life

Albertína Friðbjörg Elíasdóttir holds degrees in Sociology (B.Sc. from the University of Iceland 2005) and Geography (M.Sc. from the University of Iceland 2012) and a piano diploma from the Ísafjörður Music School. Among other things, she was project manager at the economic development organization of the Westfjords , Atvinnuþróunarfélag Vestfjarða , as well as project manager and teacher at the University Center of the Westfjords. From 2016 to 2017 she was managing director of the PPP project EIMUR to promote the use of geothermal energy in Northeast Iceland. She also worked as an organist in several churches in the West Fjords.

From 2010 to 2014 Albertína Friðbjörg was a member of the Ísafjarðarbær City Council , 2011 and 2013 as its chairwoman. In the parliamentary elections on October 28, 2017 , she was elected as the Alliance candidate for the North-Eastern constituency in the Icelandic parliament Althing . As of the beginning of 2018, she is a member of the parliamentary committee for commercial affairs.
