Albert (Provost)

Albert (* around 1320; † around 1380) was the fourth known monastery provost of the Uetersen monastery .

Life

Albert was first mentioned as “provest albori von uetersen” in a document that was issued between 1350 and 1360. In this he confirms the ownership of the parish of Elmshorn with his signature . This document is now stored in the Schleswig-Holstein State Archives in Schleswig . In further documents he confirmed further land acquisitions by the monastery. Albert died probably around 1380 in Uetersen Monastery, his successor was Provost Nikolaus .
