Albert Bittlmayer

Albert Bittlmayer (born November 8, 1952 , † June 2, 1977 ) was a German football player .

Bittlmayer comes from the youth of the DJK Dollnstein in Dollnstein near Eichstätt and came to 1. FC Nürnberg as a youth player . From 1971 to 1973 Bittlmayer ran 87 times for 1. FC Nürnberg in the Regionalliga and scored 14 goals. Shortly after the Bundesliga rise of Tennis Borussia Berlin , he moved to the Spree. In his first season he scored two goals in 20 appearances. After relegation, he and his partner Norbert Stolzenburg laid the foundations for immediate resurgence. 14 goals in 29 appearances were recorded at the end of the season. After the end of the season, cancer, from which he died at the age of 24, ended his football career.
