Albert Bouvet (born February 28, 1930 in Mellé ; † May 20, 2017 ) was a French cyclist and later race organizer.

He was an amateur until autumn 1953, after his victory in the time trial at the Grand Prix de France he became a professional driver. Albert Bouvet was a professional cyclist from 1953 to 1964 and an all-rounder on the road and track . He won numerous smaller bike races ; his greatest success on the road was his victory in the classic Paris – Tours (1956). Four times he was French champion in the individual pursuit . In 1957 and 1959 he was vice world champion in this discipline.

Bouvet started five times in the Tour de France , gave up three times, in 1954 he was 63 and in 1957 50.

Albert Bouvet has been one of the organizers of Paris – Roubaix since 1968 .
