Albert von Anhalt-Dessau (born April 22, 1750 in Dessau , † October 31, 1811 in Dessau) was a prince of Anhalt-Dessau .

Life

Albert was the youngest son of Prince Leopold II of Anhalt-Dessau (1700–1751) from his marriage to Gisela Agnes (1722–1751), daughter of Prince Leopold of Anhalt-Köthen . Benjamin Friedrich Köhler was one of his tutors .

In 1780 the prince moved into the Großkühnau Castle , which he had built and where he mostly lived and where he died as a result of a robbery.

Marriage and offspring

Albert married Countess Henriette Caroline Louise zur Lippe-Weißenfeld (1753–1795), daughter of Count Ferdinand zur Lippe-Weißenfeld (1709–1781) and Countess Ernestine zu Solms-Baruth (1712–1769) in Rheda on October 25, 1774 . The marriage remained childless; Albert and Henriette separated in August 1778.
