Albert Gustav Schwarz
Albert Gustav Schwarz (born July 6, 1833 in Berlin , † after 1898 in Buenos Aires ) was a German landscape and genre painter.
Albert Gustav Schwarz was initially trained as a locksmith. He then studied from 1854 at the Prussian Academy of the Arts in Berlin with Max Schmidt . He went on a year and a half study trip to Italy , where he visited Rome , Naples , Sorrento and Capri . From 1873 to 1878 he was then a private student of Anton von Werner in Berlin.
Schwarz took part in the Berlin academy exhibition from 1854 to 1878. In 1878 he emigrated to Manchester with his wife Agnes Müller and their three children . Eventually he came to South America and lived on the Brazilian island of Santa Catarina for about 20 years . He later lived in Montevideo ( Uruguay ) and then in Buenos Aires ( Argentina ). According to South American sources, Schwarz did not die until 1909.
