Albert I. von Bogen

Albert I. zu Pernegg, also known as Adalbert I. the Characterless († July 27, 1100 ) was a count of Bogen and Windberg.
He was the son and heir of Margrave Ernst the Brave of Austria (* around 1027 - 10 June 1075) and his wife Adelheid von Wettin († 1071).

In 1082 Albert I took part in the Battle of Mailberg .

In later times he was assumed to have been an evil lecher, for example in the Austrian Chronicle of 95 Dominions , a work that was written more than 300 years after his death. Among other things, according to this chronicle, he is said to have violated his sister-in-law Ida .

Marriage and offspring

Albert I was married to Liutgard von Diessen, heiress of the Windberg area , daughter of the Regensburg Cathedral Bailiff Friedrich II.

  • Liutgard von Bogen († August 23, 1156), ∞ Bretislav II. Duke of Bohemia (* around 1060 † December 22, 1100)
