Albert Kunze (painter)

Albert Oswald Kunze (born December 2, 1877 in Frankenhausen near Crimmitschau , † February 14, 1949 in Sebnitz ) was a German painter.

After attending art school and the Academy of Fine Arts in Leipzig from 1894 to 1899 he worked as a lithographer in a Leipzig art printing plant before it in Intra (Italy), the "G. More & Co ”ran the art print shop.

In 1902 he returned to Germany and initially worked as a freelance graphic artist. From 1904 he was a freelance painter in Sebnitz and Hertigswalde .

On various trips, especially to the Alps, he created numerous paintings, studies and drawings. Some of his landscape paintings were shown in the House of German Art in Munich.

Works are in the possession of the Sebnitz Artificial Flowers and Local History Museum.

Kunze was married twice and had a son from the second marriage.
