Albert Römer (politician)

Albert Römer (born September 4, 1900 in Vienna ; † June 21, 1977 there ) was an Austrian politician ( ÖVP ).

Life

After visiting the elementary school and the junior high school Roman graduated from the University of Economics , the Matura ?. After gaining experience in the commercial sector, he went into business for himself, first setting up a dairy and later a transport company. Most recently he was elected federal guild master for dairies and cheese factories.

In 1949, Römer went into politics when he moved into the Vienna state parliament and local council for the ÖVP . He was a member of this until 1956. In October 1956 he switched to the Federal Council as a member . He served as Federal Councilor for around 13 years, until June 1969.
