Albert Reble

Albert Reble (born August 20, 1910 in Magdeburg , † September 29, 2000 in Würzburg ) was a German educator . He devoted himself to the history of education and is generally considered to be one of the re-founders of German education after the Second World War.

life and work

After graduating from school in 1929, he studied and in 1935 did his doctorate. From 1934 to 1947 Reble worked as an elementary, middle school and high school teacher. Then from 1946 to 1949 professor at the University of Halle and after a time as a teacher (1950–1954) at the Zeppelin-Gymnasium in Lüdenscheid from 1954 to 1962 professor at the Pedagogical Academy in Bielefeld and Münster and from 1962 professor at the University of Würzburg .
