Albert Schuster (pedagogue)

Albert Schuster (also: Christian Friedrich Albert Schuster and Christian Friedrich Schuster ; born January 19, 1821 in Celle ; † after 1903) was a German high school teacher , school director and author .

Life

Albert Schuster attended the grammar school in his hometown and from Easter 1840 studied classical philology at the University of Göttingen . He passed his state examination at Michaelis in 1844 with the title Dr. phil. from. After a probationary year at the Celle grammar school, he worked there temporarily as an assistant teacher and from April 5, 1848 in a permanent position. From Easter 1849 he worked briefly at the grammar school in Emden before he was appointed to the Johanneum in Lüneburg for Michaelis of the same year . From the New Year of 1857 he worked for a few years as a full professor at the Clausthal grammar school , before moving to the Stade grammar school again as full professor at Easter 1865 . From there he finally moved to the Realschule I order in Hanover at Easter 1868 in order to fill the position of first senior teacher and professor at the Prima. After the death of the director Adolf Tellkampf , Schuster was elected to Tellkampf's successor on March 30, 1869, "by the patronage" of the institution, and was confirmed in his post as school director on May 26 of the same year.

Albert Schuster retired Michaelis in 1894.

Together with Henry Schaefer and Wilhelm Fiehn wrote Schuster in the numerous editions in the Helwingschen Verlagsbuchhandlung published German reader for higher educational institutions . It was first published for Sexta in 1880 together with Robert Kohts and Karl Waldemar Meyer, the second edition appeared in 1881, the ninth edition in 1908 and the 10th edition in 1917.
