Albert Segebrecht

Albert Segebrecht (born July 5, 1876 in Hamburg , † February 23, 1945 in Pforzheim ) was a musician , conductor and conductor .

After his training as a musician (piano, violin, trumpet), he volunteered on October 13, 1896, with the Schleswig-Holstein pioneer battalion in Harburg , where he remained as a horn player until April 30, 1908. He successfully applied for the vacant position of baton trumpeter with the 1st Württemberg Dragoon Regiment No. 25 in Ludwigsburg, which he took up on May 1, 1908. The 1st Württemberg Dragoon Regiment No. 25 was disbanded in 1919. From 1920 to 1926 Segebrecht then headed the trumpet corps of the 18th (Baden) cavalry regiment of the Reichswehr in Stuttgart-Bad Cannstatt as a baton trumpeter . After his retirement he settled as a freelance artist in Pforzheim.

His "Graf Eberhard March" was the presentation march of the 1st Württemberg Dragoon Regiment No. 25.
