Albert Steinrück (Mayor)

Albert Steinrück (born July 20, 1849 in Wetterburg , † April 3, 1924 in Korbach ) was mayor of Korbach.

Steinrück was the son of the chief forester Georg Friedrich Steinrück. In 1875 he married Luise Wilhelmine Müller in Korbach, the daughter of the Korbach businessman and councilor Friedrich Wilhelm Müller. Steinrück was mayor of Korbach from 1892 to 1897 and again from 1904 to 1915. During his tenure, the city was connected to the railway and became an industrial city. He initiated the paving of the city and many construction works. On his 75th birthday, July 20, 1924, he was made an honorary citizen of the city.
