Alberto Blancafort

Alberto Blancafort (born April 28, 1928 in La Bañeza , † February 11, 2004 in Madrid ) was a Spanish conductor and composer.

Blancafort studied composition with Darius Milhaud and Nadia Boulanger and conducting with Igor Markevitch and Sergiu Celibidache at the Paris Conservatory . He was the founder of the choir of Radiotelevisión Española , which he directed from 1965 to 1979 and from 1992 to 1998. In addition, he conducted several symphony orchestras in Spain.
