Alberto Correia Neto

Alberto Correia Neto (born July 8, 1949 in Quimbele ) is an Angolan diplomat .

Life

He was born to Borges Francisco and Maria José Correia. In 1957 he started school and attended elementary and secondary school in Luanda . In 1969 he completed a medical-surgical training at the University of Luanda .

In the 1960s he was involved in the Angolan liberation movement Movimento Popular de Libertação de Angola (MPLA) and worked in their underground military movement from 1965. On January 6, 1970, he was arrested by the police of the Portuguese colonial power PIDE -DGS and imprisoned in the Campo do Tarrafal camp on Cape Verde . He was released on May 1, 1974 after the Carnation Revolution in Portugal. In June 1974 he traveled back to Luanda via Portugal and joined the MPLA guerrillas there. He was a participant in the MPLA Interregional Militant Conference and became a member of the People's Army for the Liberation of Angola (FAPLA). He worked as an intern at the Center for Revolutionary Education CIR-Kalunga.

In 1978 he took on a political function for the first time.

He graduated from Agostinho Neto University with a bachelor's degree in economics in 1991 .

From 2000 to 2006 he was his country's ambassador to Brazil . In 2011 he became Angolan Ambassador to Germany based in the Angolan Embassy in Berlin . On October 17, 2012, he received a secondary accreditation in the Czech Republic .
