Alberto Madrid

Alberto Madrid (born June 6, 1971 - November 30, 2006 ) was a Spanish drummer for the bands Sôber and Savia . He was next to singer Carlos Escobedo , whom he knew in Sôber's time, co-founder of the band Savia, next to Escobedo.

Career

At the age of 14, young Alberto Madrid began playing the drums. As a teenager he founded several bands with his friends. At the same time he was studying. Over time, he realized that playing the drums was his calling and joined the band Santafé with whom he released a CD of the same name. With this band he was also on tour, but noticed that the band could not give him the degree of popularity he had hoped for. His next stop was My Criminal Piscolovers . He toured with them, but this tour could not be successfully marketed and the band split up. In 1999 he joined the band Sôber and with them his national breakthrough began. In 2000 he went to New York and studied drums there. He was considered one of the best drummers in Spain. With Sôber he released four albums before the band split up and in 2005 he founded the band Savia with Carlos Escobedo. With this band he released the albums Insensible and Savia . On November 30, 2006, Alberto Madrid died in a traffic accident.
