Albin von Wentzky , full name Albin (us) Friedrich von Wentzky and Petersheyde (born January 24, 1804 on the Reichen estate near Namslau ; † June 23, 1849 in Reichen) was a Prussian district administrator .

Life

Albinus von Wentzky was born as the son of the landowner Hans Friedrich von Wentzky and Petersheyde (1763-1851), lord of Reichen. From Wentzky first studied at the University of Breslau , then in October 1824 in Heidelberg jurisprudence . During his time in Breslau he became a member of the Corps Silesia , in Heidelberg he became a member of the Corps Saxo-Borussia . From 1848 to 1849 von Wentzky was district administrator of the Namslau district . Either Albinus or his younger brother Benno were friends with the composer Robert Schumann .

family

Von Wentzky was the son of Hans Friedrich von Wentzky (1763-1831) and his third wife Friederike Wilhelmine von Schickfuß Neuendorf (1781-1855). Albin von Wentzky was married to Caroline von Eisenhart (1809–1886) since 1832 . His grandson was the Prussian cavalry general Albin von Wentzky (1860–1917).
