Albrecht (family)
The Albrecht family is a north German family of civil servants and entrepreneurs, originally from Höxter in Westphalia.
The earliest detectable members of the family appeared at the end of the 15th century in Bürgerbuch and lap Register of Hoexter at the Weser, where the family is, however, no longer represented the end of the 17th century. The progenitor is Pastor Barthold Albrecht (* 1557), who worked in Rühle . The family is one of the typical representatives of the German educated middle class . Especially in the Bremen area and Lower Saxony it has produced well-known namesake since the 19th century and was one of the so-called Pretty Families in Kurhannover .
The family crest consists of a golden lion on a red background that breaks a silver chain. In addition, there is a red column with a gold star on a red and silver puffed helmet.
