Albrecht Gralle (born November 23, 1949 in Stuttgart ) is a Protestant-free church theologian , hymn poet and writer .

Life

After his school education, Albrecht Gralle studied from 1971 to 1976 at the Theological Seminary of the Federation of Evangelical Free Churches Hamburg-Horn (today: Theological University of Applied Sciences Elstal in Elstal ) and at the Theological Faculty of the University of Hamburg . After completing his master's degree, he was vicar in the Evangelical Free Church Community of Hamburg, Grindelallee ( Oncken Church ) from 1977 . His special field of work here was the Großhansdorf branch . He was recognized as pastor of the Federation of Evangelical Free Churches (Baptists) in 1980.

In 1981 the couple went to Sierra Leone on behalf of the European Baptist Mission Society . While his wife, the ophthalmologist Dr. Ingrid Gralle, who was involved in the medical field, taught Albrecht Gralle at the theological seminar of the Baptist Convention of Sierra Leone (BCSL) .

In 1987 Gralle switched to pastoral work in the Evangelical Free Church in Northeim and was its pastor until 1993. After that, Gralle devoted himself exclusively to writing, in which he had been working part-time since 1977. Gralle also wrote some hymns , which can be found in the free church hymn book Celebrations and Praises .

The couple Gralle still live in Northeim near Göttingen. In the parish, which is headed by his wife Ingrid, Gralle does volunteer work in the field service and in the musical field.
