Swabian Literature Prize
The Swabian Literature Prize is an award annually since 2005 Literature Prize of the Bavarian region of Swabia for authors who live in the Swabian-Alemannic cultural area or biographically rooted there.
The jury will select the winners from the texts sent by the applicants on the annual topic to the “District Homeland Maintenance” department of the Swabian District. In addition to three cash prizes, a special prize for authors up to the age of 25 is also awarded, which is linked to an invitation to a literature course at the Swabian Art Summer in the Schwabenakademie Irsee, which together with the VS Regional Group Swabia awards the " Irseer Pegasus " annually at Irsee Monastery . After the competition, the best texts will appear in an anthology at the Wißner publishing house .
