Albrecht Hornbach

Albrecht Hornbach (born October 24, 1954 in Landau ) is a German entrepreneur .

Life

His father Otmar Hornbach (1930–2014) opened the first hardware store in Bornheim (Palatinate) in 1968 when Albrecht was 13 years old . Albrecht Hornbach studied at the University of Karlsruhe , where he graduated as a graduate engineer in 1980. Hornbach has been running the hardware store company Hornbach, founded in 1877, together with his brother Steffen Hornbach since July 2013 . In addition, he is on the board of directors of the Future Metropolitan Region Rhine-Neckar Association and a member of the Association of German Engineers and President of the Palatinate Chamber of Commerce . Since 2011 he has been Honorary Consul for Romania for North Rhine-Westphalia, Rhineland-Palatinate and Saarland.

Albrecht Hornbach is married and has four children. With Georg and Julian Hornbach, two of his sons are also represented on the Group management of Hornbach Holding AG.
