Albrecht III. (Weimar-Orlamünde)
Albrecht III. (Albert) of Weimar-Orlamünde († 1283 or 1293), Count regent of Weimar Orlamünde (1247-1283 / 1293) from the House of Askanier was a son of Count Hermann II. and Princess Beatrix of Andechs-Meran , a daughter of Duke Otto VII (Meranien) .
Life
Albrecht was the third son of his parents. When his father died, he, like all his siblings, was a minor . It is extremely difficult to grasp in the historical sources. Little is known about his life. He followed his father in 1247 with his two brothers Hermann III. and Otto III./Otto IV. He received a small part of the Allode , but in fact did not rule as a count. He died in either 1283 or 1293. No descendants are known.
