Albrecht von Kolditz

Albrecht von Kolditz († 1448 ) was governor of the Bohemian hereditary principalities of Jauer-Schweidnitz and Breslau and governor of Upper Lusatia .

Life

Albrecht von Kolditz came from the noble family Kolditz . After the death of the Bohemian King Wenzel, Albrecht held the post of governor of the Hereditary Duchy of Schweidnitz-Jauer from 1419–1448 and the post of governor of the Hereditary Duchy of Wroclaw from 1420–1424. 1425-1448 he was governor of Upper Lusatia . Through his offices he took an active part in the fight against the Hussites . In 1428 he participated with his own army on the side of the Münsterberg Duke Johann I and his son-in-law Puta the Elder. J. von Častolowitz at the battle of Altwilmsdorf . In order to avoid the conquest of Kynast Castle by the Hussites, in 1433 he gave the order to hand it over to the town of Hirschberg as pledge and to oblige the town to demolish the castle and not rebuild it.

Hans von Kolditz, a son of Siegmund von Kolditz, was his successor in the office of Oberlausitzer Landvogts.

family

Albrecht's daughter Anna († 1467) was from 1396 with Puta d. J. von Častolowitz († 1434) married, with whom she had three daughters. After Puta's death, she married the Bohemian nobleman Hynek Kruschina von Lichtenburg for the second time .
