The line on the Albula Pass

The Albula line , even Albula line is a 380- and former 220-kV high-voltage line in the Swiss canton of Grisons . It was created in the early 1970s and is also called the "380 kV line Sils-Pradella". It is used to transport electricity from the Laufenburg electricity company to the Lower Engadine ; to supply the Albula valley , the Poschiavo and part of Italy with electricity. It crosses the Albula Valley and the Albula Pass in two poles . At Bever , one of the poles that hold alternating current forms the Bernina line , of which three cables are currently not under tension and end at a guy mast . The other pole leads to barrel masts , of which only three of the six jibs are needed up to the level of Zernez . From there it is a hybrid line for 380 and 110 kV, which ends at the Pradella river power station near Scuol .

The energy route is operated by Rätia Energie and Engadin power plants .
