Alcides Vieira

Alcides Flaviano Vieira Simões (born December 22, 1981 ) is a former Brazilian road cyclist .

In 2007 Alcides Vieira finished second in the Brazilian one-day race Prova Ciclistica 1 ° de Maio - Grande Prémio Ayrton Senna . He was also successful in the third section of the Tour de Santa Catarina in Porto União. In the 2009 season, Vieira was second at the Circuito Vale dos Minérios. At the Tour de Santa Catarina, he won the third stage and was tenth overall.

On April 25, 2009 Alcides Vieira tested positive for EPO at the Tour de Santa Catarina , together with riders Alex Diniz , Cleberson Weber and Alex Arseno . The Brazilian Association then suspended him and the three other drivers for two years until April 2011. The results at the Tour de Santa Catarina were canceled from the fourth stage.
