Aldona Balsienė

Aldona Balsienė (born November 4, 1952 in Molėtai ) is a Lithuanian trade unionist , former politician, member of the Seimas .

Life

After graduation in 1967 at the middle school Molėtai she graduated in 1971 Electromechanics - pilot Vilnius and studied at night school Department of Vilniaus inžinerinis statybos institutas . In 1971 she worked at the Electrography Institute. From 1974 to 1994 she was a metrologist at Vilniaus skaičiavimo mašinų gamykla . In 1978 she graduated from the Vilniaus inžinerinis statybos institutas.

From 1988 she was active in founding Lietuvos darbininkų sąjunga and from 1989 to 1991 was responsible. Secretary of those, from 1991 to 2006 Lietuvos darbininkų sąjunga was president and since 2000 the union “ Solidarumas ”. From 2004 to 2006 she was a member of the Lithuanian Parliament Seimas , elected in the list of Rolandas Paksas coalition "Už tvarką ir teisingumą".

She is married and has the daughter Jurgita and the son Mindaugas.
