Aleš Prek

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Aleš Prek (born August 11, 1981 ) is a Slovenian racing car driver. In 2011 he was European Bergmeister of touring cars in a Mitsubishi Lancer EVO IX of group N . It was the first FIA title for a Slovenian.

Until 2010 he mostly rode a Honda Civic from group N to 2l in hill climbs in Central and Eastern Europe. Despite missing results and displacement disadvantage, he was in the overall ranking in 2009 in 7th place and in 2010 in 4th place in the EBM.

Other sports

In 2003 and 2004 Aleš Prek competed in alpine skiing as part of the Slovenian national team. Within Europe he took part in slalom and giant slalom and Super G. A fourth place in the slalom in Klinovec , Czech Republic was his best result.

Motorsport 2012 and later

He has been driving a Porsche 911 GT3 since 2012 and has appeared in hill climbs in Southeast Europe with it. Due to the small number of starters in the GT group, he cannot repeat his title win, as there are only half the number of points (see EBM regulations).
