Alejandro González (boxer)

Alejandro González (* 11. August 1973 in Guadalajara , Jalisco , Mexico ) is a former Mexican boxer in the featherweight . He was managed by Pedor Pietro and trained by Javier Capetillo .

His son Alejandro González junior was also a professional boxer. He was found murdered in December 2016.

He won his first two fights over 4 rounds each unanimously on points. In his third fight he had to accept his first defeat. On January 7, 1995, he became WBC World Champion when he defeated the until then undefeated southpaw (41-0-0) Kevin Kelley by giving up in round 10. He lost the belt to Manuel Medina in September 1995 .
