Alejandro González, Jr. (born March 8, 1993 in Zapopan , † December 9, 2016 in Guadalajara ) was a Mexican professional boxer in the super bantamweight division .

Alejandro González, Jr. was the son of former world boxing champion Alejandro González , who held the 1995 WBC featherweight title. Like his father, González opted for a career as a professional boxer and spent most of his youth in the United States. He made his professional debut at the age of 17 on March 19, 2010 in Guadalajara. He was managed by Al Haymon and won 24 fights in a row. He suffered his first defeat in April 2014 due to a technical decision against Juan Alberto Rosas .

With a record of 25 wins, one defeat and two draws, he won a world championship fight for the IBF super bantamweight belt on July 18, 2015 in El Paso . His opponent Carl Frampton (20-0) made his second title defense and his US debut. González went over the full twelve rounds and had his opponent down twice, but lost the fight unanimously on points.

In the early morning of December 9, 2016, Alejandro González, Jr. was found murdered along with two other men in a vehicle in Guadalajara.
