Alejandro Vela (born March 28, 1984 in Cancun , Quintana Roo ) is a Mexican football player on the position of the striker . He is the older brother of Carlos Vela , who won the U-17 World Cup with Mexico's U-17 team in 2005 and has been under contract with Los Angeles FC since 2018 .
Life
Alejandro Vela began his professional career at his youth club Club Deportivo Guadalajara , for which he made his debut in the Mexican Primera División in a match against Atlante on August 14, 2004 . In the 7-0 win of his team, Vela contributed the 2-0 in the 22nd minute and thus scored his first goal in the first division in the first game.
After two years at Chivas, he moved to the Jaguares de Chiapas , where he was also under contract for two years. Since the Apertura 2008 Vela is for Cruz Azul operates.
