Alejandro Zendejas Saavedra (born February 7, 1998 in El Paso , Texas ) is an American football player who, due to his family roots, also has Mexican nationality. The midfielder began his career at FC Dallas and has been under contract with the Mexican CD Guadalajara since summer 2016 .
Career
Club career
On October 1, 2014, Zendejas signed a professional contract under the Homegrown Player Rule with FC Dallas . This did not allow him, however, to complete an assignment in the MLS during the 2014 season . He made his competitive debut on May 1, 2015 in a 4-1 win over Houston Dynamo .
National team
With the US U-17 national team , he participated in the 2015 CONCACAF U-17 Championship and the 2015 U-17 World Championship .
