Aleks Scholz
Aleks Scholz (* 1975 in Gera ) is a German astronomer and author.
Life
Aleks Scholz holds a doctorate in astronomer with a research focus on the formation and structure of stars and planets. After research stays in Canada and Scotland ( University of St. Andrews ) he is currently (2012) working as a Schrödinger Fellow at the Dublin Institute for Advanced Studies , Ireland. He is the founder of the WETI Institute . As an author, Scholz wrote for the newspapers Der Standard , taz , Süddeutsche Zeitung , Spiegel Online and Zeit . He is also a member of the Central Intelligence Agency (ZIA) network and is the editor of the giant machine weblog .
In 2010, Aleks Scholz won the Ernst Willner Prize at the 34th Days of German-Language Literature with his text Google Earth .
