Aleksandra Žvirblytė

Aleksandra Žvirblytė (* 1971 ) is a Lithuanian pianist and music teacher, professor at the Lithuanian Music and Theater Academy .

Life

In 1989, Žvirblytė graduated from Lietuvos muzikos akademija with Olga Šteinbergaitė . From 1989 to 1991, she continued his education at the Conservatory in Moscow with Lev Vlasenko , Mikhail Pletnev , Mykola Suk and then in Germany and Switzerland Bernard Ringeissen , Rudolf Buchbinder and Karl-Heinz Kämmerling . 1989 and 1991 won the Konstantinas Čiurlionis pianist competition in Vilnius , and in 1991 the international competition of the Young Keyboard Artists Association in Oberlin (USA). In 1999 she received the Grand Prix in Paris at the international Nikolai Rubinstein competition.

Žvirblytė teaches as a professor in the piano department at the Music Faculty of the Lithuanian Music and Theater Academy .
