Aleksejus Novoselskis (born February 2, 1985 in Novgorod ) is a former Lithuanian cross-country skier .

Career

Novoselskis took part in competitions of the Fédération Internationale de Ski from 2002 to 2011 . He ran his first of a total of 21 World Cup races in February 2005 in Reit im Winkl , which he finished with 90th place over 15 km freestyle. At the Nordic World Ski Championships in 2005 in Oberstdorf , he reached 75th place over 15 km freestyle and 62nd place in the sprint. At the 2006 Winter Olympics in Pragelato , he finished 59th in the sprint. He ran his best individual World Cup race in January 2009 in Rybinsk , which he finished with 49th place in the sprint. At the Nordic World Ski Championships 2009 in Liberec , he achieved 59th place in the sprint and 21st place in the team sprint. At the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver , he came 71st place over 15 km freestyle and 53rd place in the sprint. He finished 60th in the sprint and 21st in the team sprint at the following World Championship in Oslo .
