Alen Bašić (born September 20, 1980 in Lepenica ) is a Bosnian football player .

Bašić comes from the youth of the Bosnian capital club FK Sarajevo . There he also played in the Premier League until he moved abroad in 2004. He joined the German second division promoted Dynamo Dresden and was able to prevail in the defense there after a period of getting used to in the second half of the 2004/05 season. In the end of the season, however, he dropped out because of a meniscus injury that had to be operated.

The aftermath of the injury cost him the pre-season 2005/06 and in his second year at Dynamo he didn't make it back into the starting line-up and was only used four times. Since Dresden was relegated that year and the Bosnian was not eligible to play in the Regionalliga, he was then without a club.

In the winter break of 2006/07 he then joined the second division Kickers Offenbach as reinforcement for the rest of the season , but could not gain a foothold there either and only played once. At the end of this season, Bašić moved to FK Sarajevo.

Alen Bašić was a U21 international for Bosnia and Herzegovina.
