Anestis "Anastasios" Agritis ( Greek Ανέστης Αγρίτης , born April 16, 1981 in Mytilini ) is a former Greek football player .
Career
Agritis did not join the local football club Doksa Plagias until he was 14 . Four years later he left the club and went to the Greek fourth division club Egeas Plomariou , only to be hired after just six months in the second highest division at the Athens suburb PAE Aigaleo . In 2000, the club still missed direct promotion by one point, but in the 2000/2001 season they won the league sovereignly, with Agritis contributing eleven goals as the second top scorer in Athens. During this season, the young striker was also called up for the first time in Greece's U21 squad.
In the following years Aigaleo established himself in the Super League and in the third year Anestis Agritis achieved his greatest club success with third place in the championship and thus reaching the UEFA Cup.
He was also successful in the U-21 and came to a total of 21 missions. In January 2003 he also played in the senior national team against Cyprus, but apart from two charity games, this has so far remained his only one. For this he was in the selection for the 2004 Olympic Games in his own country.
After five and a half years in the Greek first division, Agritis moved abroad and strengthened the German second division Kickers Offenbach during the winter break of 2007 , where he signed a contract until 2009. For the 2008/09 season Agritis moved back to his homeland to Iraklis Thessaloniki . But just a year later he signed a contract with OFI Crete . Then he switched to AO Kerkyra and from 2013 to 2015 Agritis played at AEL Kalloni and ended his active career there.
