Alen Markaryan

Alen Markaryan (born July 30, 1966 in Istanbul , Turkey ) is a Turkish fan club chairman and sports columnist of Armenian descent. He is the leader of the Beşiktaş Çarşı group and is known as a so-called amigo , which is used to describe football fans who "orchestrate" the crowd.

He was the whip in the so-called closed grand stands of the demolished İnönü Stadium during the football games and stands behind the BJK Akatlar Arena during the basketball games . He is also one of the commentators on the Karakartal Forum - a television broadcast by Beşiktaş TV . He wrote for the sports magazine Pas Fotomaç . Today he writes for the daily Akşam as well as books, including one called Quaresma about the football player Ricardo Quaresma .

Alen Markaryan runs his own doner kebab restaurant, the Aleni Kebap Salonu in Pangaltı . He is married and has one daughter.
