Al-Ittihad

The Aleppo International Stadium ( Arabic ستاد حلب الدولي, French Stade international d'Alep ) is a stadium in Aleppo .

The stadium is the largest in Syria in 2008 and is mostly used for football matches. It serves as its own venue for the al-Ittihad football club . The stadium is next to the Abbasid Stadium, the national stadium of the Syrian national team . The stadium was opened in 2007 in the presence of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad . It seats 75,000 people.

To mark the opening of the stadium on April 3, 2007, Al-Ittihad played a friendly against Fenerbahçe Istanbul from Turkey , which ended 2-2.
