Alessandro Albenga

Alessandro Albenga (* 1957 in Taranto ) is an Italian organist .

He studied organ and organ composition at the Santa Cecila Conservatory in Rome and immersed himself in Meaux (France) and Haarlem (Netherlands). From 1987 to 2002 he was the organist of the main church in Rome ( Basilica San Giovanni in Laterano ). Albenga is Professor of Organ and Composition at the Antonio Buzolla Conservatory in Adria near Rovigo and also teaches organ and composition at the Licinio Refice Conservatory in Frosinone. Albenga is also involved in the design of major new organs for the Lazio region. With the choir “Canto e disCanto” founded by him and Milli Taddei, he performs classical, popular and world music .
