Alessandro Alvarez da Silva (born November 7, 1970 in São Paulo ) is a former Brazilian soccer player .

Career

Alessandro da Silva began playing football in the youth of São Paulo FC . In 1992 he moved to Eintracht Frankfurt for which he only played one game in the Bundesliga . On the 20th match day of the 1992/93 season he was substituted on against Bayern Munich in the 65th minute for Jay-Jay Okocha . From 2000 to 2003 he played for Eintracht Braunschweig . With the Lower Saxony he rose to the 2nd Bundesliga in 2002 . From 2003 to 2005 he played with SC Paderborn 07 in the Regionalliga Nord . Then he completed seven more games for Waldhof Mannheim in the major league .
