Alessio Allegrini
Alessio Allegrini (* 1972 in Poggio Mirteto ) is an Italian horn player .
Allegrini studied at the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia in Rome and at the Accademia Chigiana in Siena with Luciano Giuliani . He was also a student of Michael Höltzel .
Allegrini was initially the principal horn of the Orchestra Filarmonica della Scala , Milan under Riccardo Muti . Today he plays as principal horn in the Orchestra Nazionale di Santa Cecilia in Rome. He is also a frequent guest as principal horn with the Berliner Philharmoniker and has performed with the Lucerne Festival Orchestra under the direction of Claudio Abbado .
He also gives concerts as a soloist and with chamber music ensembles in various countries. Allegrini also gives concerts in remote regions of the world. He has given concerts several times in remote cities and villages in the Andes of South America.
