Samson Kisekka
Samson Babi Mululu Kisekka (born June 23, 1912 in Mengo , † October 25, 1999 in London ) was a Ugandan politician and Prime Minister and Vice President of his country.
After studying at Makerere Medical School , the doctor of medicine worked as a doctor. He later became the foreign policy spokesman for Yoweri Museveni's rebel group . When Museveni became President on January 26, 1986, he appointed Kisekka as Prime Minister on January 30, 1986 to succeed Abraham Waligo . He held this office until January 22, 1991. He was succeeded in this office by George Cosmas Adyebo .
At the same time he had been Vice President of Uganda since 1989. During this time he was also Minister of the Interior. In 1994 he resigned from this office and was replaced by Specioza Kazibwe in this office. However, Kisseka remained an advisor to his political companion Yoweri Museveni until his death. For some time, Kisekka was also the chairman of the National Resistance Movement (NRM), Museveni's party.
