Alex Dorow
Alex Dorow (born June 7, 1964 in Munich ) is a German news presenter and politician ( CSU ).
Career
Dorow grew up in Schondorf am Ammersee . After graduating from high school in 1983 at the Landheim Schondorf high school , he signed up as a regular soldier in the armed forces . He then studied political science, old, medieval, modern and Bavarian history in Munich from 1985 to 1991 . Study visits took him to Italy.
In 1988 he joined Bavarian television as a reporter . In 1990 he completed a speaker training and was currently on the speaker team in May 1991 when the information channel B5 started broadcasting . From 1993 to 2007 he was editor in the studio of the Rundschau magazine . From October 2007 he was one of the moderators of the news program Rundschau . In November 2011 he ended (because of his entry into the Bavarian state parliament, see below) moderating the Rundschau on Bavarian television.
Dorow has been a member of the CSU since 1983. In May 2011 he took over the chairmanship of the CSU district association Landsberg. In the state elections in September 2008, he ran on the Upper Bavarian CSU electoral list, but only moved up to the Bavarian state parliament on April 3, 2012 for Georg Fahrenschon, who had retired . There he was a member of the Petitions Committee and a member of the Committee on Labor and Social Affairs, Youth, Family and Integration.
In the state elections in 2013 , he won the direct mandate from the district of Landsberg am Lech, Fürstenfeldbruck-West , StKr. 119. Since then he has been a member of the Committee on Federal and European Affairs and Regional Relations and the Science Committee. The former journalist was also sent to the media council.
In the state elections in 2018 , he received the direct mandate with 35.4% for the constituency Landsberg am Lech, Fürstenfeldbruck-West.
