Alex Izykowski

Alex Izykowski (born January 26, 1984 in Bay City , Michigan ) is an American short track runner.

Alex Izykowski started speed skating at the age of 11. He is also a cyclist and was a 1998 Michigan state double champion in road racing and the criterion . The athletes from Bay City trained in the Olympic Training Center of Colorado Springs . In 2002 he started for the first time in the US junior championships and was second in the all-around, a year later he appeared for the first time in the junior world championships and was eighth, also in the all-around. At the 2005 World Championships, he won the bronze medal with the US relay. He also achieved the same placement with the relay at his first Olympic Games in Turin in 2006 . Izykowski starts for the Bay County club .
